Job description


  • You are responsible for the development of the purchasing strategy and complete purchasing process of the technical product and services group, negotiating for strategically important purchases to be able to pursue a cost-efficient purchasing policy in line with the vision of the company.
  • You guide, coach and develop your team based on 5 sites, to enhance the effectiveness of the purchasing department.
  • You co-ordinate and organise different activities to provide efficient and effective services that meet the quality standards and needs of the organisation.
  • You permanently look to improve the cost efficiency of the purchasing processes as well as to enhance services.
  • You sustain of strong vendor management, being Purchasing Process Owner and owner of Vendor Contracts.




  • You obtained a Master’s degree in engineering/economics and knows to approach procurement from a technic as well as a commercial perspective.
  • You have at least 10-15 years of relevant experience in technical procurement in an industrial environment. Experience with plant maintenance, big turnarounds/technical revision is a huge advantage.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of purchase processes and tools.
  • You excel in communication and negotiation skills and process improvement.
  • You are fluent in (business) English, knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a plus.
  • You are willing to travel between the local sites.
