Title: General Manager - lingerie boutique

Location: Montreal

Reports to: Sales and Development Director, France

Reporting in: 1 sales representative, 2 sales agents, 3 sales administrative staff and 2 Store Managers based in Montreal (Ainsi Soit-Elle)



THE MANDATE:

The General Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding company goals for profitable revenue growth. He/she is responsible for developing the commercial and marketing strategy set up for the region. He/she will be in charge of the local organization, the support of partners and customers in order to create growth, the marketing and merchandising of product and the profitability for both brands, Simone Pérèle and Implicite.

RESPONSBILITIES:

Commercial Activity and Development:

* Define the main commercial strategy taking into account local intel and agreed budgets
* Building sales forecasts, budget and operational plans
* Defining and tracking sales metrics
* Conducting relevant analyses to improve the performance of the sales agent
* Implement specific strategy depending on the capabilities and commitment of local partners
* Manage, support and motivate the sales team on a daily basis (commitment, target, objectives, etc.).
* Set up prices and margin structure depending on the level required by top management
* Negotiate with main partners and customer's prices, activities and marketing support
* Prospect for new customers or partners



Planning and Marketing:

* Create specific activities and promotions adapted to the market
* Follow up with promotional activities
* Develop specific POS and advertising material to support local sales
* Organize and implement training sessions with sales staff
* Regularly communicates all relevant and necessary information
* Follow up and report local activities and pertinent initiatives from main competitive brands

Supervising Canadian office:

* Reporting subsidiary activity to France
* Use data to drive operational and productivity improvements
* Supervise all commercial aspects
* Supervise sales and administrative team
* Set up strict and relevant procedures in order to avoid any logistic and inventory inconveniences
* Improve P&L monitoring and follow accounting processes and reporting



Retail Shops (Ainsi Soit-Elle)

* Manage two multi-brand stores (inventory, human resources, marketing activities, P&L, etc.)
* Define the development strategy of the retail activity

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related disciplines
* Minimum of ten years of business to business sales experience is required, with at least five years of sales management experience national or key strategic account business and P&L experience
* At least eight years of sales experience in consumer goods
* Proven track record in managing both sales and operational side of the business
* Strong written and oral cross functional communication skills in both English and French
* Aggressive, target driven, excellent communication skills with strong sales competence
