For a newly established role and as part of an increased focus on strengthening Milestone Systems’ corporate brand and identity across communication channels, we are looking for an experienced social media strategist, who can set the strategies and make continuous improvements and developments on the social media platform.


You are offered a unique opportunity to define and execute a social media strategy from scratch, where it will be your experience and strategic mindset that set the ambitions for what can be achieved. Most content and graphics will be supplied by internal content providers and an internal graphical department, but we expect you have flair for content. 
You will head a team of 4 experienced professionals being Communications Partners, Editorial Writer and an Assistant, and together you will ensure our digital footprint. You will report to the Head of Corporate Communications and will work out of the HQ in Broendby.

The Job
Together with your team, you will be involved in deepening online social conversations, building engagement and brand loyalty and enriching Milestone’s earned media strategies. You will own and drive the social media presence, from concept and planning to smooth execution, analytics and reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, crafting innovative social media strategies and creative content with great impact. 


You will work closely with the Global Communications team covering the areas of Corporate PR, Public Affairs, Executive and Internal Communications, and Product PR. You will also play a vital role in working across the marketing group and have a broad interface to multiple functions in the organization.

Your primary responsibilities are to:
• Create, execute and monitor multi-platform social strategies from scratch
• Provide insights and recommendations for social media strategies, bringing your knowledge of the newest trends and technologies to the table
• Establish strategic roadmaps, define KPIs and create content calendars that help us achieve our business objectives
• Execute strategies in a timely and detail-oriented manner, building relationships with media and social influencers to amplify social media success
• Ensure messaging is consistent and aligned with brand objectives and performance measures for the marketing and communications strategy 
• Create content for selected topics across channels
• Own our social media channels, identifying key stories within the company and keeping our feeds updated with fresh content
• Stay on top of the latest social platforms, tools, and technologies; educate our internal team and share creative ideas on how we can leverage them
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of professionals, acting as role model and inspiration.
 

The Profile
To succeed, we expect you to hold a bachelor or master’s degree in communication, and that you have more than 5-6 years of experience in social media, community management, audience development and/or content development experience. Most importantly, you have driven an international or global agenda in social media, where you have established a social media function and defined and executed strategies. Preferably, you have some management experience and/or used to heading projects and are comfortable in a leading role. You are highly proficient in spoken and written English and possibly a native speaker. 
You are passionate about social media and the opportunities that it creates. You have a strong understanding of digital media and experience working with creators of content, including long-form stories, videos and graphics. You combine this with strong strategic communications skills with the experience and ability to develop and implement robust plans. You have a strong commercial mindset and know how to drive traffic to a website via SEO optimization and focus on lead generation. You master SEO optimization and how to increase web traffic and search rankings. 


As a person, you demonstrate an international outlook, where you are comfortable working across multiple organizational boundaries and stakeholders, both inside the company and with external partners. With your passion and ability to engage others, you motivate others to make contributions and support your strategic agenda.
