As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading all financial aspects of the business including controlling, accounting, cash, cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, and the profitable growth and improvement of the business. The Finance Manager leads the development and implementation of financial planning and budgeting in support of the company’s strategic goals and budgets. You will ensure that the company’s financial statements are accurate, timely and in compliance with Ipsos Group policies. You will be the financial steward of the Ipsos business in Denmark, whom, together with a financial assistant, will support a dedicated and professional team, primarily working within marketing. The primary cooperation is with the Management Group, Country Manager, Finance assistant, CFO, Marketing and external auditors. The position reports directly to the CFO - Western Continental Europe and the Country Manager, Denmark.


Primary responsibilities are

  • Responsible for accounting, controlling, financial planning and business analysis, treasury matters, maintaining good relationships with banking institutions, the company’s auditors, the required tax authorities and other members of the financial community within the Group.
  • Maximize free cash flow generation in Ipsos Denmark. Achieve FCF target.
  • Drive the budgeting, forecasting and control job profitability together with the business.
  • Provide advice and counsel, which will include being a strong business partner to the Country Manager and the leadership team in Denmark.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with the company’s auditors and other financial partners in close coordination with Group teams.
  • Ensure that Ipsos Denmark complies with regulatory filing requirements and with Ipsos Group policies.
  • Maintain current awareness of potential, pending, and current legislation that may impact Ipsos Denmark.
  • Optimize Income tax, social charges, benefits and any type of fiscal, legal and social expense.
  • Required to have visibility and gravitas within the local business and regionally, gaining the respect and confidence of other Ipsos colleagues to support the local business and Ipsos globally.

Have strong and precise communications skills. You are trustworthy towards the board, management and employees. You have great people management skills.


You have relevant educational background, and a minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a well-established, multi-national company, with a track record from a complex, international environment and the ability to demonstrate success in a similar environment where a significant re-building challenge was undertaken.


Further professional experience

  • Strategically experience and operational execution through the middle.
  • Solid understanding of business, with a desire to understand and get involved in the whole.
  • Experience with accounting, reporting and controlling from a corporate angle according to IFRS Standards.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of "business partnering" concept.
  • Experience in driving change processes through project-related work.
  • Experience with LEAN and optimization.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Danish tax system and Danish GAAP as well as international IFRS.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in both oral and written English.

Ipsos Denmark

Ipsos Denmark's history starts in 1963, where Kasper Vilstrup founded Vilstrup Research. Vilstrup was the first to choose to interview the Danes over the phone - which was a sensational idea in the 1960s. In 2006 Vilstrup Research was acquired by the international analytical agency Synovate, owned by the Aegis Group.

Synovate then had office at Frederiksborggade in Copenhagen and employed approx. 15 employees. In 2011, the French research firm Ipsos, founded by Didier Truchot in 1975, acquired the entire Synovate. Since then, the Danish Ipsos office has experienced massive growth. In 2016, Ipsos Denmark moved to new and larger office space in Store Kongensgade, and today our Danish office has more than 40 employees and annual turnover of approx. 70 million kr.
