We are looking for a Regional Investment Analyst for Intrum’s Northern European region that covers the Nordics and Baltics.

We are looking for a Regional Investment Analyst for Intrum’s Northern European region that covers the Nordics and Baltics. You will work out of the Copenhagen office together with most of the regional and local investment teams. Together, they all ensure a strong professional environment. You will report to the Regional Investment Director NOE. 

Your role
Your primary responsibilities will be to conduct research, create financial models, produce analytical reports and recommendations concerning specific types of both consumers’ unsecured and secured debt portfolios. You will manage the offer process, calculate and value new debt portfolios for new acquisitions in addition to working closely with the Regional Portfolio Manager to follow-up on investments in the region. When needed, you can also expect to support with local investment analysis tasks, and where you will collaborate closely with local management.

Your responsibilities

  • Valuation of deferred debt portfolios.
  • Liaising with local and Group analyst teams and operations to understand all factors relevant for valuation purposes.
  • Preparation and submission of documentation for investment decisions on regional and Group level.
  • Participation in follow-up analyses of purchased portfolios in the region and building experiences for developing the valuation models.
  • Support to the local country organizations with the analysis of and validation of tender submissions / client proposals and ensure compliance.

Your success criteria will be to support and manage a broad portfolio of mid-size and larger investment processes in the region both for individual countries but also in cross-border transactions. 

Your personality
As a person, you are collaborative and a strong team player with an openness to other’s knowledge and expertise. In your work, you are structured and organized, with strong analytical skills and the ability to make prioritizations and decisions under pressure. Towards your stakeholders, you can communicate complexities in a selling and simple way.

Your professional skills

  • Academic credentials on bachelor or master level in e.g. mathematics, statistics, economics or finance.
  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience from the financial industry, (bank, pension, insurance or agency) with basic understanding of regressions, correlations and statistical analysis.
  • Highly skilled in Excel, with a general good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Keen on coding or keen on learning e.g. VB, VBA, R, SAS, statistical tools.
  • Fluent in oral and written English, and preferably highly skilled in another language from the region.
  • An advantage but not a requirement with experience from the distressed debt market / collection industry.
