This requires close follow-up on strategy, strategic initiatives and budgets, and our Strategy Office (STO) is a strong support in this.

The role as Strategy Office Manager offers a great career opportunity for an ambitious internal strategy consultant, management consultant or finance business analyst, who wants to operate close to the Top Management and execute strategic initiatives across a complex organization.

The role reports to and collaborate closely with a Head of Strategy Office, together you facilitate the Corporate Strategy and Functional Strategies and manage the 5-year business plan financial model. The role entails collaboration across CPH’s various business areas, spanning from e.g. operations to a fast-paced sales and marketing organization.


Corporate development and strategy support to the business

In your role as Strategy Office Manager, you operate at a strategic level and with a close eye to operations and daily business. Besides supporting the Corporate Strategy, you facilitate strategy work in the departments, follow-up and report on strategic initiatives and support the execution of specific strategic initiatives. You act as strategic driver as well as provide financial modeling, reporting, analyses and coordination. Some of your responsibilities are:

  • Support the Head of STO in facilitating, planning, monitoring and reporting the development of the World Class Hub Strategy.
  • Monitor the KPI’s and financials in the planning and budgeting phase, and the execution phase.
  • Interact with stakeholders in Finance to ensure one aligned process between strategy, budget and business plan.
  • Support in preparing quarterly reports on strategic KPI’s and strategic initiative performance.
  • Support the Head of STO in preparing and coordinating communication to the Board, Top Management, Top 40, political stakeholders and external customers and partners.

A success criteria is your ability to balance between analyses, strategic support and rolling up your sleeves and take ownership for deliverables such as reports, presentations, excel models etc. It is also important that you quickly establish yourself as a value-adding resource to the management and the organization.


Combination of responsibility, financial understanding, and experience from running strategic initiatives

You present yourself as ambitious and highly flexible. You are at a point in your career, where it is important to lay the foundation for later achievements, and you are ready to invest the needed time and energy. You thrive with responsibility, high speed, and demanding projects, where you have high expectations to yourself and your surroundings. You balance well between analytically and detailed work on one side, and strategic and management support on the other. You do not wait for the tasks to come to you, you proactively seek out assignments that need your support.

Our expectations to your professional experience include:

  • Academic credentials on master level in finance or similar.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience from a role as internal strategy consultant, external management consultant, project manager or another role, where you have been exposed to strategy work and financial complexities. Preferably experience from an infrastructure business, understanding the complexities that this entails.
  • Understanding of financial principles, budgeting, business plans and the like.
  • Experience from having worked with Best Practice methodologies, where you have gained a strong business acumen and understanding of key drivers in organizations.
  • High level in Excel and PP, being able make models and presentations.
  • Fluency in English and Danish, orally and in writing.


A department with high exposure and close to the decision makers

Strategy Office (STO) is part of CPH Finance, with six departments and approx. 75 employees. In STO, we are only two people, but we work across all of CPH, focusing on the strategic tasks that truly add value to the business. We are close to Top Management and the Board, and in our role as facilitators we ensure that the strategic initiatives come alive in the organization and are anchored with the individual departments.
