Reporting to a Commercial Director your responsibilities will include the following:-

  • To lead the annual budget planning cycle for sales volumes by airport and by customer in order to optimize profitability.

  • To ensure that the Sales team manage the commercial relationships with external customers in accordance with the Safety, Security, Health and Environmental policies of the company and in accordance with KPI's policies on ethics and social responsibility.

  • Develop understanding of each customer's needs, both as a corporate body and as individuals within their corporations.

  • Deliver required volumes and revenue returns consistent with budgets at assigned airports, allowing for market conditions where appropriate.

  • Develop and coordinate the implementation of Business Development plans and strategies which will enable the business to best achieve its business objectives.

  • Keep under permanent review the cost competitiveness of all business operations and implement plans to maximize the possible return available in each market.

  • Develop clear performance objectives for direct reports which will enable the achievement of business objectives and track performance on a continual basis, taking action as needed.

  • To coach, support and tactically manage the team to deliver their planned sales results and maintain personal top level contacts with major accounts.

  • Act as the company representative for assigned customers and ensure payment to the agreed contractual terms.

  • Monitor changes in customers' operations and develop new customers, using industry sources, Press, customer feedback etc.

  • Communicate openly with Commercial Director to provide market intelligence, including any information that will be required for overall business strategy.

  • Chair Sales, Operation and Supply meetings and provide accurate monthly sales forecasts for assigned airports.

  • Set prices and identify target customers for colleagues at assigned airports.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working in the oil industry preferably with recognised major and at least 5 years within a Commercial role related to Jet Fuel. Ideally you will also have background that includes knowledge of Supply and Logistics and/or trading within the Jet fuel sector. You should posses experience of managing a team, preferably an international one with a wide variety of skillsets and any foreign languages would be an advantage (particularly French, Spanish or German).
