Facilities Manager, Edinburgh

Our client is currently looking for a Facilities Manager to join their existing team based in Edinburgh.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To manage the local office Facilities operations, comprising of 2 separate offices
  • Manage PPM and reactive maintenance programs. This includes but not restricted to; fabric, M&E and refurbishment etc
  • Maintain and manage the CAFM system including review of data to support effective contract/contractor management, compliance and trend analysis.
  • Assist in the local planning of space and facilities requirements.
  • Manage Health and Safety, Compliance Handling, DDA, Risk Assessments etc
  • Responsible for the management of the FM team
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programmes, including fabric, M&E and refurbishment and management of the contracts.
  • Participate on the business wide Health and Safety Committee
  • Ensure the offices comply with the requirements of ISO14001, OHSAS 45001 and ISO27001.
  • Local management of the services and supply contracts, including but not limited to M&E, catering, cleaning, security, stationery, couriers etc.
  • Assist with the preparation of procurement documentation for FM services and products.
  • Support premises manager with service charges, rates and rent.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders within the business
  • Managing the office business continuity plans, ensuring the business has effective out of hours emergency response services and appropriate

Relevant Experience:

  • Strong experience working in a Professional Services sector
  • Proven ability to lead teams
  • Proven capabilities delivering support services to high quality standards
  • Proven Ability to manage budgets including Service Charge management
  • Practical knowledge of managing and developing KPIs and SLAs
  • Knowledge of procurement processes
  • Ability to commercially manage 3rd party suppliers and contractor relationships
  • Health and Safety Qualifications, ideally Nebosh
