Faculty Student Recruitment Manager

Hudson is delighted to be working in partnership with Coventry University’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences in the search for a Faculty Student Recruitment Manager. Coventry is a modern, diverse, forward thinking institution, whose 3000 staff are committed to delivering the very best possible experience for its students. They employ an innovative, interactive approach to teaching including podcasting, online discussions and mobile technologies and they rank high in post qualification employability. They are proud to have achieved a ranking of 12th on The Guardian University League Table 2018, and the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences in particular has four courses - Occupational Therapy, Sport Science, Physiotherapy and Food Science – ranked in the top ten in the Complete University Guide’s 2018 Subject League Table! Coventry University is one of the city’s biggest employers, and their city centre campus will see further investment over the next few years. Students at the university benefit from state of the art equipment and facilities in all academic disciplines, and staff in turn are offered a huge range of benefits including a generous holiday allowance, pension, flexible working, childcare vouchers and a cycle to work scheme.

The Student Recruitment Manager is responsible for a local team of recruiters, leading student recruitment activities in support of strategic annual targets through the development and delivery of the faculty recruitment plan. Working closely with both the Associate Dean, and the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, this involves everything from event organisation, campaign management, through to forecasting, reporting, analysing data, process management and compliance. You’ll work with stakeholders across the university to define, develop and deliver all recruitment activity, from the central marketing team and faculty leadership team, through to the team of faculty recruitment officers who will report directly to you.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in marketing, strong analytical skills, experience of managing a team and a track record of achieving acquisition through a combination of the aforementioned activity. We’re looking for a strategically minded individual, used to managing mutliple stakeholders, combined with a willingness to play an operational role in delivering against objectives. In short; a strategic mindset, personal gravitas and no problem with rolling your sleeves up! You will need to be persuasive, confident and highly organised, very comfortable working in changing environments and able to demonstrate creativity in your approach to your previous roles. Furthermore you’ll need to be used to making bold, informed decisions. Experience in the higher education sector is not essential; you may have transferable skills from outside the sector – for example, member acquisition from a professional body or customer acquisition in a regulated environment. Likewise if you have worked in, or have a passion for, health and life sciences, we’d love to hear from you.

If you feel you have the skills required for this role and would like to achieve the personal satisfaction of making a real difference to people's lives through your own individual contribution then this is the role for you. Please click ‘apply’ to upload your CV!

Note: Hudson are working exclusively in partnership with Coventry University to recruit to this role. Any third party applications will be sent to Hudson.

Please note you will receive an automated response advising you that we have received your CV.
