Learning and Development Consultant

A.G. Barr has been in the business of quenching the nation’s thirst since 1875. A successful FTSE 250 Company, they are an accredited Investor in People employer with a diverse and expanding range of quality soft drinks, including Irn-Bru, Rubicon, Strathmore, Rockstar, KA and Funkin Limited. Following significant investment into the Learning and Development function, AG Barr is recruiting a Learning and Development Consultant to join their  leading innovative L &D function based in Cumbernauld. The Learning and Development Consultant will drive the learning agenda through effective design and delivery of tailored L & D innovations.

In this challenging and exciting position,  you will be responsible for the development and delivery of all aspects of the learning and development proposition across the organisation.  You will lead on all activity relating to management development  and employee engagement. Providing leading edge expertise on Learning and Development interventions thus ensuring alignment with the business strategy and enriched performance.  You will be responsible for designing, delivering and implementing key development solutions across AG Barr, in line with key business learning needs. Reporting to the Learning and Development Business Partner, you will contribute to creating a positive learning experience for all employees and managers ensuring you meet the changing needs of a growing successful business.

You will work in collaboration with the L & D team in reviewing  the quality of learning solutions whilst developing new, effective learning programmes.  Generating a robust management development offering, you will consult, coach and influence accordingly to improve business performance. You will take a pivotal role in developing the LMS system by identifying learning opportunities through, proactive continuous improvement of the digital learning platforms. You will assist in continuing to build a high performance culture through the delivery of development programmes thus enhancing the company’s main asset – its people.

You will consult with functional business unit leaders to provide relevant Learning and Development strategies therefore the ability to influence key stakeholders is essential.  This role will impact all geographical regions in which AG Barr operates therefore requires a first class, persuasive communicator with strong influencing skills and has the credibility to quickly make an impact on the business.  You will have an engaging delivery style with the ability to work with a diverse audience with strong facilitation skills . You will have proven experience of working collaboratively within a small team whilst contributing to specific Learning and development projects.

Degree qualified or equivalent ideally CIPD with experience of working within a commercial organisation is essential.
