Senior Auditor - Change

Hudson is currently recruiting for an Senior Auditor - Change to join this growing business function within a Global Financial Services business

As an Senior Auditor - Change, you will provide risk and control consultancy to aligned businesses in the Group. You'll also provide insights, expertise and challenge to management, while developing constructive working relationships with colleagues in a range of functions.

This role reports into the Change Audit Manager and will be responsible for supporting delivery of a portfolio of Change audit work across the Group. You will be part of a small team of Audit Managers and Senior Auditors.

The successful candidate will need to be robust and credible in delivering insights, audit issues and guidance to senior business stakeholders in respect of strategic change management. As such, advanced communication and relationship management skills are essential, developed through interaction with stakeholders at all levels.

The Change Audit team is responsible for providing insight and assurance over all aspects of strategic change across the Group. Change Audit Planning & Delivery

Assist the Change Audit Manager with planning and delivering a wide range of change-focused audits, ensuring that:

  • Change audits are carefully planned and researched using a risk-based approach to ensure scope and objectives are clear.
  • Assigned Change audits are executed efficiently in line with budgets and timescales and audit files are completed to a high standard in line with IA's methodology.
  • Audit reports produced highlight findings clearly and concisely and detail recommendations for improvement actions.
  • The root cause of risks and control issues are identified and recommendations are made for practical solutions to them.
  • Follow-up of audit findings conducted on a timely basis to ensure the business has implemented changes within agreed timescales and to agreed standards.
  • Work performed meets methodology and quality requirements before delivery
  • Any changes to audit scope and/or budget are escalated to the Change Audit Manager in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of strongly written audit reports which enable us to communicate with clarity, brevity and impact. These will be subject to approval from the Change Audit Manager / Head of Audit (Change & IT), prior to issue.

Stakeholder Management

  • Audit findings communicated effectively to senior business management in a clear, constructive and accurate manner to mitigate risk (in conjunction with Change Audit Manager on complex audits).
  • Audit reports produced which clearly articulate the audit findings to stakeholders.
  • Support Change Audit Manager in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to enhance business unit knowledge and promote best audit practice across the Group.

I am looking for individuals with the following:


As an experienced Senior Auditor or Internal Auditor with a strong background in risk management, you'll have an excellent understanding of Change and the regulatory environment in large financial institutions, together with a proven ability to deliver audit assignments on time and to budget.

  • Educated to degree level and preferably with a relevant professional qualification or experience.
  • Experience of auditing and/or involvement with Change programmes and projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Change management, preferably within an Asset Management, or financial services context.
  • An ability to quickly grasp the objectives of a change initiative and work independently to appraise key risks and controls using the Internal Audit methodology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in 1:1 and group situations.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and positively influence stakeholders
