Brand/Trade Marketing Manager

Mandate:
HBI, exclusive distributor in the US for the Clipper Classic range of products, is need of a Brand/Trade Marketing Manager responsible all marketing activities for the Clipper Classic lighters and other accessories in the US.

In this position, you would be working closely with the head office of Flamagas, headquartered in Barcelona, Spain executing the US strategy in partnership with their exclusive distributor, HBI. You will organize product category management, trade marketing activation, customer and trade communication, provide sales support and manage the annual marketing plan (product, price, promotion, distribution, communication etc.)

Responsibilities:

PRODUCT AND CATEGORY MANAGEMENT:

Product range definition: (Responsible of the Clipper HBI product Range)
* Analyze, propose assortment for the US based on global product catalog adapted to US trade specificities.
* Product needs or improvements in terms of packaging and development and make recommendations to the HQ Barcelona team (or other direct supplier) with a business plan.
* Grant correct execution of Clipper Brand identity in the US according to global guidelines.

Price: responsible of the Clipper product price positioning
* Understand the competition's strategy and use that information to better Clipper's positioning in the market.

Product Supply management: (Responsible of the Product Supply management and Inventory)
* Responsible to optimize the stock level and quality (rotation), based on sales forecast and stock coverages.
* Monitor stocks level and alert HBI GM on stock issues and propose corrective actions for slow movers.

TRADE MARKETING- PROMOTION:

Responsible to develop and implement the annual promotional plan in coordination with HBI GM and Clipper HQ.
* To develop an specific plan for the HBI promotors
* To develop sale in sale out promotion among the different channels.
* To develop trade shows and costumer events.

TRADE MARKETING- DISTRIBUTION:

Co-Responsibility of the distribution plan together with the GM and the sales team.
* To follow the sales/distribution plan implementation
* To improve the numerical distribution
* To improve the product visibility in the point of sales (developing the best point of sale material)

COMMUNICATION: Responsible of the communication plans
* To develop and implement the sales tools /communication and POS required.

SALES ANALISIS + FFEDBACK:
* To implement the marketing and sales reporting.
* HQ Barcelona meeting review
* Provide internal and HQ feedback on new and existing product sales and promotions effectiveness.
* Provide distribution data: numeric distribution and listings.

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree with a focus in marketing or business ideally
* 5 to 8 years of experience working in a FMCG industry
* Entrepreneurial spirit who is also creative and can think outside of the box
* Able to work independently and within a matrixed environment
* Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time within the US - must be able to travel to Spain twice a year
