To provide support to sales/nutrition teams and their customers, as well as develop direct relationships within the feed industry and academia. As a member of the ruminant technical team, this position is responsible for training the sales/nutritional team, identifying new products and additives that are worthy of adding to our offerings, designing and overseeing trials to evaluate new and proposed products, supporting business management with sound scientific knowledge to make decisions as well as developing new market venues through collaborations with farm consultants as well as other companies


* Train and continuously develop the technical competencies of the sales/nutrition team
* Provide on-farm support to the sales/nutrition team as well as business partners and their customers
* Transfer new research findings to the sales team and their customers
* Provide ideas and needs from the field to the research group and participate in study designs
* Oversee university trials and field trials
* Establish and maintain relationships with academia personnel as well as industry professionals
* Publish articles in farm related magazines as well as writing technical reports from studies


* DVM or PhD in related field (Nutrition, Welfare, Physiology, etc.) or MSc with equivalent experience. Preference will be given to individuals with dairy production knowledge
* Practical experience working with farm animals and /or farmers
* Individuals must be self-motivated with a high achievement drive
* Great organizational and time management skills
* Excellent communication skills, both in writing as well as presenting to large audiences and one-on-one
* Sales experience as well as an understanding of marketing and market segmentation considered an asset but will look at research backgrounds
* 30 to 40% travel is expected, primarily within the USA with some international travel as well.
