Title: Key Accounts Manager

Location: Greenville, South Carolina

Reports to: Vice President & General Manager

Oleon is a leader in the global oleochemical company specialized in converting natural fats and oils into a wide range of products, such as fatty acids, glycerin, fatty alcohols, esters and dimers. Our products, made from renewable raw materials, combine high performance with readily biodegradable characteristics. Our products are commonly used in the following applications: lubricants, oilfield, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food industry, coatings & polymers.

The function:

* Responsible for ester, fatty acid and glycerin sales development in the assigned territory including generating new sales leads, follow-up on sales activities & generate new revenue streams from specific product lines. Additionally the successful candidate will contribute to the budgeting process, including volume & profitability while actively prospecting the territorial markets. Customer communication will include buyers, R&D, operations personnel and any resources having influence in product selection.
* The Strategic Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers. Assigned to three to five named customers, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.
* Develops and executes Global Key Account plans, strategies, action plans, milestones and budgets within the segments and commercial strategy ensuring the coordination of Global business objectives and strategies
* The Strategic Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers' needs and expectations are met by the company including globally coordinating our efforts at these accounts.
* Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
* Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
* Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
* Monitors and evaluates programs and expenditures. Handles special projects, as assigned







Key responsibilities include:

Account management:

* Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matter specific to your customers
* Build and maintain strong, long lasting customer relationships
* Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders (supply chain, R&D, operations, technical, purchasing and business at all major customers) and executive sponsors
* Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
* Communicate clearly the progress monthly to internal and external stakeholders
* Forecast and track key account metrics
* Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure grow attainment
* Assist with high severity matters as needed.

Qualificiations:

* You have a Bachelor degree (preferably in science) including 10+ years commercial sales experience.
* You preferably have a chemical background. Experience in a related industry is an advantage.
* Entrepreneurial spirit looking to actively contribute to building US business.
* You are result-driven, achiever, hands-on, with excellent social, interpersonal and commercial skills and can work autonomously as well as in team environment.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization including executive and C-level.
* Excellent communication, listening and presentation skills
* You are willing to travel on a as needed basis (~35% overnight travel)
