Title: Plant Operations Leader, Advanced Components
Reporting to: Vice President, Advance Components
Location: LaGrange, Illinois

Summary: Leads and directs all activities for plant location by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

* Provide leadership to Plant associates ensuring corporate goals and values are communicated, understood and met.
* Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
* Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
* Review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, prevent operational delays and reduce scrap.
* Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
* Resolve associate issues.
* Compile, store, and document all procedures and specifications relating to assigned programs and projects.
* Insure that all company policies and procedures are communicated appropriately.
* Direct analyses of returned materials and goods for manufacturing errors and insure errors are corrected.
* Assure that methods used to manufacture company products are in accordance with Manufacturing Engineering methods and specifications.
* Evaluate and recommend capital equipment expenditures.
* Review and evaluate molding methods, processes and production equipment and tooling.
* Insure physical plant facility, environmental systems and all equipment are maintained in accordance with company standards.
* Act as a liaison between the facility and corporate departments and the leadership team.
* Act as a liaison with our China manufacturing facility. This includes helping set up new manufacturing processes in China (expected travel could be between once to three times per year).
* Determine mold, tooling and fixture design requirements and cost estimates for all new products or improvements in present products consistent with Engineering and Manufacturing objectives.
* Mentor, coach and develop staff.
* Some travel may be required. Less than 10%.

Education and/or Experience:
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (preference will be given to those with a technical / engineering degree)
* Ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training
