International B2B Group  requires  a COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR  for  its European headquarters based near Girona, to lead sales and marketing areas, at  national and European level.

Leading group in design, manufacture and distribution of specialized  capital goods for professionals and  specific distributors, large accounts & prescription.

The position reports to General Manager and to the  International Sales VP.

Aim of the role: 

Will  work together  with the GM to develop  and implement  the strategy and actions to make the business grow, focusing in development of  new sales channels , large accounts and  wholesalers. 

Guarantees profitable growth of sales and improves  the market position of the company’s products and brands in Europe.

Give coherence and control to the product portfolio, to the  introduction of the current brands and to the development of new products.

Plays a lead Sales & Marketing  role,  ensuring  cooperation between areas,  developing new products, new professional  channels and  prescription , maintaining  key accounts and expanding the client portfolio as well as increasing visibility and brand positioning.   This position acts on a functional, operational, tactical and strategic level.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develops  and executes  the  commercial strategy (sales & marketing) , together with General Manager.
  • Stablish  yearly Customer/Wholesalers  plans to achieve company goals, identifying strengths and weaknesses to maximize brands’ potential and profitability.
  • Deliver business plans through clear leadership, objectives setting and results  follow up.
  • Responsible for contribution margin as well as sales & marketing expenses, including regular  budgeting & reporting.
  • Generate knowledge on market development / customer needs and competitor activities and share it with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the strategic marketing plan, including product ranges and brands.
  • Manage the strategic communication plan and actions aimed to increase the visibility of brands (communication agencies, PR, advertising, specialized media, etc.)
  • Develop a consistent pricing strategy and commercial policy ( discounts, rappels, etc. ).
  • Develop Sales & Marketing organization , ensuring effective and efficient roles and increasing sales orientation.

 

Required Profile:

  • The Commercial Director should have a successful track-record in B2B commercial management,  with a strong focus on wholesalers and  prescription in large accounts as well as marketing experience.
  • Professional and structured approach finding a good balance between product portfolio & brand management  and deep commercial understanding. (Marketing & Sales)
  • Proven value in commercial account management, strategic plan development with strong focus on results.
  • Strong people development, management  and team leadership skills
  • Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Must be able to relocate to Girona or surroundings.

 

Education :

University Degree in Business Administration, Economics , Engineering or similar.

Ideally complemented by MBA

Languages :

Must be fluent both in  oral and written  English and Spanish.

Proficiency in other European  language  is an advantage.
