The mission of this role is to lead on retail activity across Iberia, influencing retail strategy being developed at European level as well as delivering a clear implementation plan at local level.

Tasks: 
· In the role, the person will be accountable for building on and expanding business contacts with the top Retail Chains.
· He/she will be accountable for defining and implementing the retail strategy at local level and closely collaborating with the Sales Manager for Spain & Portugal, and other functions such as Applications Manager, Business Development Manager and European Retail Director in managing retailer - driven projects through a strong execution plan.
· He/she will be accountable for promoting our product, system and service offer in line with the country sales growth program at retailers, to create the push-pull effect along the value chain.
· Direct reporting to the Manager of Business Development Iberia and dotted line to the European Retail Director.

Responsabilities: 
· Fully understand retail packaging requirements of retailers and deliver this back into the business as the 'voice of the retailer' inside to influence business strategy.
· Develop an in-depth knowledge of retail in Spain & Portugal and the trends that will influence the industry in the future and identify business opportunities and threats to the business on a local level.
· Influence retailers in their packaging decisions to support the sales team in delivering the local sales budget.
· Communicate to the Iberian Sales & Marketing team the latest information & data on the Retail Industry.
· He/she will be responsible to push and pull information with the Sales team at all levels in order to leverage market understanding accordingly.
· Coordinate the implementation of the Communication Plan with the Communications Manager for Iberia.

Qualifications:
· Excellent networking skills combined with active listening skills
· Product & Market knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese Food Retail.
· Knowledge in e-commerce
· Ability to work in a matrix organization with strong communication skills
· Project Management skills - technical and influencing skills
· Relevant Academic Background
· Spanish mother tongue, fluent in English & desirable knowledge of the Portuguese language
· This position involves intensive travel up to 50% mainly in Spain & Portugal.
· Good knowledge of the most common computer tools (office, email) and driver's license
