Multinational manufacturing company is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to maintain and generate new business opportunities within the Automotive market in Spain and Portugal.

Mission

Maintain and generate new business opportunities into the customer portfolio, existing and potential customers, through the detection of the needs of the customer and developing innovation technical solutions coordinated together with the commercial coordinator and the Product Development Team.


Report to:

Reports functionally to the Sales area Coordinator that he/she is working on (Tier or OEM) and hierarchically to the BD Director.
 

Responsibilities

  • Create customer loyalty
  • Develop new products in close collaboration with the selected existing and potential customers.
  • Generate a close relation with the stake holders’ players and spend an important part of the time with them detecting and solving needs.
  • Be a technical problem solver, seen as a source of confidence.
  • Proactive attitude in front of the customer (generate developments, developments without RFQ) when possible, and catalogue products when needed.
  • Prepare quotations and be rigorous in the follow up until closing status. Analysis of rejection reasons to improve where necessary.
  • Support the product development process up to final customer validation (from customer need up to sample validation for serial production).
  • Work with CRM and SAP, which means a high accuracy in performance. Introduce quotation/project information into CRM and project management software to ensure data quality and possible later analysis.
  • Strong collaboration with product development, quality, logistics Dpts. and the Operational Project Manager.

Education

3 year of professional experience in sales (in automotive sales preferably)

Technical Engineering degree or technical background desirable but not mandatory.

Languages

Fluent English (is a must) and Spanish.

French and/or German will be a plus.
 

Skill

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, dynamic, motivated.
  • SAP and ERP experience would be a plus.
  • Well organized and rigorous with daily basis job.
  • Network player, interact and collaborated with the network colleagues for the international projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Result oriented.
  • Strong, confidence-inspiring personality.
  • Travel required, approx. 25% of the time.
