The position


  • In the area of Transfusion Technology, the client is active in both Automated Blood Technology (apheresis and plasma pheresis) and Whole Blood Technology by providing equipment, consumables and services to blood service organizations and hospitals. In Belgium and The Netherlands the company is market leader in several segments of Transfusion Technology and targets strong growth in others.
  • For Belgium we are looking for an account manager Transfusion Technology who covers all areas of the business, i.e. both Automated and Whole Blood Technology. The account manager acts as a lead point of contact for all matters specific to his/her customers and prospects and develops a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts. He/she is a.o. responsible for forecasting and tracking account metrics, for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities and for achieving the agreed financial targets.
  • The account manager Transfusion Technology reports to the Commercial Director Medical Devices.




Qualifications and competences


The ideal candidate has a thourough commercial experience in the Medical Device Industry, preferably in Transfusion Technology, or any other relevant area. He/she is familiar with account management and with working in the hospital and/or blood service organization environment. He/she is willing and eager to develop a sound knowledge of Transfusion Technology principles and products.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Accurate and precise with the ability to plan activities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects at a time
  • Analytical, someone who likes to go to the essence of things and does not give up easily
  • Excellent skills concerning verbal and written communication, presentation, listening, and negotiation
  • A team player.
  • Proficient in Dutch, French, and English
