In order to strengthen their sales force and to further grow their business, Banner Engineering is looking to recruit a (m/f): 

Business Development Manager EMEA

Strong sales professional with a passion and expertise in automation, material handling and/or mobile equipment 

Your function

  • As a Business Development Manager you are the expert for a number of vertical market segments at Banner EMEA to increase our success and expand the business.
  • You have a strategic market focus on Material Handling (illumination for workstation, pick to light and vision) and Mobile Equipment (vehicle detection, radars and LED indicators).
  • You are in charge of all sales action management on selected key accounts in coordination with our channel partners and local Banner specialists. You ensure follow-up of all medium and large projects related to those markets.
  • You hold a strong marketing focus by selecting and help organizing exhibitions (e.g. creation of brochures and flyers with our DTP department), helping to set up a communication plan via printed and/or web advertising, technical articles and white papers, …).
  • You ensure training and education of our channel partners on market key points, you share success stories and you explore future field applications.
  • You jointly decide with the Strategic Business Development Group Manager on the selection of key European OEM strategic accounts and large End Users.
  • You communicate and coordinate with the Regional Manager at the EMEA office for key account management and local field actions.
  • You provide feedback to our R&D group on a regular basis for possible product development / evolution that will best suit the market.
  • Your main product focus (but not limited to) will be: Wireless, Photoelectric, Ultrasonic and Radar sensors, lighting and indicators.
  • You will report directly to the Business Development Group Manager.  

Your profile           

  • You hold a higher degree, preferably in engineering, or equivalent through work experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation.
  • Prior key account management experience is considered an asset.
  • You show well-developed presentation skills and are able to read, write and interpret reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience.
  • You work in an organized manner, you engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and you are very consistent in meeting deadlines.
  • You take initiatives and you are able to work autonomously.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of English, spoken as well as written. Any other European languages are definitely an asset.
  • The EMEA corporate office is based in Diegem (Belgium), with regular meetings with the business development group.
  • You are expected to spend 50% of your time visiting customers with channel partners in the following region: EMEA, but 90% focus on Europe.
