Product Management - diagnostica - scientific background

The Business Manager is responsible for the development of a local go-to-market strategy for the products he/she is responsible for. He/she drives marketing and communication programs related to his/her product lines of responsibility. He/she is in charge of the Product management for the product lines and provides support to the sales team with in-depth customer presentations, support for tenders, Key Opinion Leader management and scientific knowledge. He/she is the link between the local market and the international marketing team.




  • He/she will define and implement the marketing strategy for current and future products:


  • Launch of new products
  • Develop sales campaigns adapted to the local market
  • Understand, analyze and follow-up of Market Trends
  • Create and implement Marketing and Communication Programs
  • Set/adapt product pricing strategies and develop/adapt product positioning concepts
  • Run competitive analysis and Intelligence


  • He/she will support sales in developing revenue for your products of responsibility through


  • Joint customer visits
  • Sales argumentation and sales tools design
  • Support in tenders
  • Development of customer events


  • He/she is able to articulate with Clinical Biologists on the scientific/ clinical topics with strong scientific knowledge


  • Relationship with Key opinion leaders
  • Participation in congresses and international meetings
  • Translate your scientific knowledge and newly gained insights in understandable and useable marketing and sales tools


  • He/she will provide the link with the business line’s international marketing department
  • Company image: He/she develops the company's brand image, demonstrating the Principles of the company at all times, as well to all internal as external stakeholders.


Candidates profile:


Education and working experience:


  • A Master Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology or equivalent in a relevant life science subject
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or equivalent experience in related business
  • Minimum experience in Marketing, you know what marketing is all about and are familiar with the latest marketing and sales techniques
  • Actual IT and network knowledge
  • Languages: Dutch, French and English


Personnel characteristics:


  • Well-developed personal and professional communication skills are required to effectively interact with regional marketing, global marketing, sales & senior managers within the company.
  • Self-reliance and motivation, takes initiatives and acts proactively
  • Good presentation skills
  • Commercial skills, customer focused
  • Interested in the developments in the healthcare industry
  • Team Player
