For our Client, which is the biggest international company providing industrial automation as well as IT solutions for manufacturing automation, we are looking for candidates for the position of:


EMEA Materials, Logistics and Customer Care Director

Location: Netherlands or South of Poland


The Director for EMEA Materials, Logistics and Customer Care is responsible for customer service levels to the EMEA customer base, operational logistics performance, trade compliance, finished goods and component inventory management goals and partnering with regional plant operations to ensure they are meeting cost objectives. Additionally, this role will manage the EMEA Customer Care team responsible for all transactional activities dealing with customer interactions in the areas of product order services, billing inquiries, return approvals, rebate processing, expedites, order availability analyses, Tech Connect contract administration and dispatch of field labor and parts for the businesses.

In this role the candidate will manage a diverse pan regional team and partner with key stakeholders to meet service and cost objectives.

Main responsibilities of the job:

  • Management of regional logistics operations and associated cost.
  • Demand and Supply planning activities within the region.
  • 3rd Party Logistics performance including freight forwarding-brokerage and warehousing.
  • Annual Logistics productivity and project management.
  • Import/Export compliance across the region which includes cross functional collaboration throughout the organization to ensure smooth movement of goods across borders.
  • Partnering with Operations and Engineering Services, Global Sales and Marketing and BU organizations to realize Supply Chain improvement initiatives including total order cycle time reductions.
  • Late point configuration center operations management and development.
  • Close coordination with other business processes that are part of the Order-to-Cash and Issue-to-Resolution end-to-end streams.
  • Development and performance management of the team in the region.

Preferred background and competencies:

  • 12+ years work experience in supply chain management of an international customer focused environment.
  • Open to a multi-cultural organization and experience managing a pan-EMEA organization.
  • Exposure in a variety of areas to include finance, customer service, logistics and manufacturing is an asset.
  • Bachelor degree in logistics/supply chain management and customer service, business, finance or engineering. 
  • Masters in Business Administration highly desired.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Mobility (40%-50% of the time).
  • Experience collaborating with others across the organization and with leadership.
  • Success in dealing in a global, matrixed organization structure will be necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to present and communicate to upward management.
  • Communicate effectively across business units and cultures.

The role reports directly to the Vice President, Supply Chain.
