A fantastic opportunity has arisen with my client, a leading organisation in their field, for an immediately available Finance Manager to join their existing team on a 9 month temporary basis.

Based in Dunfermline, the successful candidate will provide high quality project accounting, cost monitoring and forecasting support to the Finance and Programme teams. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will manage a small team of existing project accountants.

The top major tasks and activities of the role are:

  • Provide full support to the Finance lead for allocated finance areas including attendance at monthly reporting meetings
  • Actively support and continue to challenge the project team and providing change, risk and opportunity analysis
  • Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting requirements, including Monthly Customer Forecast, and Provision of information to the Partners
  • Line Management Responsibility for two Project Accountants

     

Along with being CIMA, ACCA or ICAS qualified, the successful candidate should also have the following skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of Processes and Procedures
  • Demonstrable experience in Project Accounting, Cost Monitoring and Control
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to manage and develop direct reports
  • Effectively influence Control Account and Functional Managers across the programme
  • Establish and develop strong working relationships with key customers both internally and externally
  • Ability to cope with a complex, fast paced and uncertain environment
  • Self-confidence and good judgement

Having already attained a Basic Security Clearance is preferable but not essential.
