An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Buyer to join a specialist FMCG client in Glasgow.
The role is available on an initial 12 Month Fixed Term basis, working within a close knit procurement team and would be responsible for the following areas:
* Monitoring supplier performance against agreed service levels and ensuring continuity of stock coverage.
* Commercial negotiation with suppliers.
* Reviewing sales/forecast data and placing orders for replacement stock when required
* Analysing sales and purchasing data.
* WEEE reporting - maintaining crystal report records system for completion of UK and Irish returns.
* Processing purchase orders via File Maker and Sage.
* Liaising with suppliers to resolve any open queries.
Experience working within FMCG would be advantageous as well as contract negotiation, stock control, purchasing and data analysis.
